WELLINGTON – The first T20I of the three matches series between Pakistan and New Zealand will be played on Monday at Westpac Stadium, Wellington.

Shoaib Malik, Pakistan’s experienced allrounder, returned home from New Zealand after suffering a freak head injury during the third one-day international. The former Pakistan captain will miss the three-match T20 series starting from tomorrow.

Hit on the head by a wayward throw from Colin Munro’s while taking a run in the match, Malik also couldn’t play the last two of the five-match ODI series which Pakistan lost five nil.

Pakistan will be looking to turn things around following their humiliating 5-0 whitewash in the one-day series.
